3D Clones??
Well, we don’t actually clone you, we copy you! Using the latest technology we are able to quickly create a 3D scan of your likeness, then use amazing printing technology to recreate that scan in a variety of media. You can read more about the media below, each one has a different finish and possibilities for enhancement by you!
The 3D scanning process is quick and painless. Faces can be copied in 1/10th of a second so Gurn away to your hearts content. The scan is then edited and a pedestal or hanging tab so the print can easily be displayed on a shelf or wall. You can view the scan within a minute.
Upper body prints take under a minute to complete, during this time you have to stay as still as possible whilst the scan is underway using an infra-red laser. You can view the scan there and then to confirm if you are happy with the results.
Full body scanning will be available soon, your complete body scanned in less than 1/100th of a second! Sign up to our newsletter to hear when the full body scanner will be available.
Once the scanning is complete the scan is edited to make it watertight for printing. The model is uploaded to the cloud and an email sent to you so that you can view the 3D scan online. You will be provided with a password to access our online shop and there you will be able to view a range of options to purchase your 3D print. Depending on our current workload 3D prints may take up to 3 weeks to arrive.
Can you print in Wax?
Yes, we also offer 3D printing in Wax filament. This is a special order so please contact us for a quote. 3D printed wax models can be used for the lost casting method, check out the Scuplteo page here for more information. We can print in wax for you to cast at home, or you can purchase your digital model and upload to the Sculpteo website and order a Titanium cast!

What is a Raw print?
A raw print is the product that comes straight out of the printer. To properly print overhangs a 3D printer must print supports, pillars of media that are loosely attached to the item they are supporting. Many of our clients are wearing hats when we scan them, to ensure the overhanging brims are printed properly we first orientate the 3D model to try to reduce the number of columns that are needed, then calculate the minimum number of columns that are needed to ensure a decent print. When viewing your purchasing options in the shop you will be given the option of purchasing a raw print where you remove the supporting columns yourself. These are easily removed with a small pair of pliers or tweezers. A small extra charge is made for removing these items if you require us to do so. Any remaining pieces are easily sanded.
What finishes do you provide?
We provide the following finishes for your prints, please contact us for pricing:-
- undercoat spray – a primer for PLA prints that smooths away all the print lines without the need for sanding. The print is then ready for painting by yourself.
- Epoxy bronze coating – Epoxy resin is mixed with equal quantities of bronze powder. When applied the epoxy smooths out the print to give a cast metal finish. The epoxy can then be sanded by yourself and aged using the methods described on our front page.
- Heat chiseling – a special heated tool is used to remove the print lines on your print. The tool melts the PLA on contact and the model is gradually worked to ensure all lines are removed.
Digital Download…Whats that?
Digital downloads are available for purchase via your clone page. Simply select that option to purchase a digital download. Digital download files will be made available within 48 hours of your purchase.
